Selous Game Reserve
Selous Game Reserve covers more than 50,000 square km of area is the largest Game Reserve in Tanzania and Africa. Selous reserve was named after the Englishman Sir Frederick Selous, a famous big game hunter and early conservationist, and was designated as a World Heritage Site in 1982 by UNESCO due to the diversity of its wildlife and undisturbed nature. The attractions in Selous Game reserve includes:-

Gurumet Game Reserve

Maswa Game Reserve in the Northern circuit was established in 1962 and it covers an area of 2,200 square km. Maswa game reserve borders the world’s famous national park, the Serengeti National Park from where its attracts wild animals from the park during dry season. - A number of Rivers forming the main drainage course, which includes are Simiyu, Mbono, Semu and Kuna

- Large populations of buffalo, Topi, Lion, Giraffe, Zebra, Hartebeest, Roan antelope, Greater kudu Waterbuck Sitatunga, Hippo and the Crocodile

Ugalla River Game Reserve
Ugalla Game Reserve is among the key Tanzania’s unique protected areas as it is a licensed reserve area allowing honey gatherers and fishermen to harvesting honey and fish for just six months in a year.
