Selous Game Reserve
Selous Game Reserve covers more than 50,000 square km of area is the largest Game Reserve in Tanzania and Africa. Selous reserve was named after the Englishman Sir Frederick Selous, a famous big game hunter and early conservationist, and was designated as a World Heritage Site in 1982 by UNESCO due to the diversity of its wildlife and undisturbed nature. Maswa Game Reserve in the Northern circuit was established in 1962 and it covers an area of 2,200 square km. - A number of Rivers forming the main drainage course, which includes are Simiyu, Mbono, Semu and Kuna
